Make a World's Best Dad Certificate for Father's Day!

Want to make something really personal for your Dad this year for Father's Day? Anyone can go to the store and buy a card---but why not make a personalized "World's Best Dad" certificate for your Dad? It can be printed on plain printer paper, or colored card stock, or it can be printed on really nice vellum paper and framed!

You don't need any special card-making programs. You don't need special graphics or clipart. You can just use your computer's Word program---or you can make one by hand! All you need is a few simple ideas and you can create a really special certificate to "present" to your Dad---and it'll be something that he'll keep forever!

I've designed a very simple World's Best Dad certificate that you can use as either your actual certificate or you can change it anyway you like. It will open as a Word document (in a new window), and you can either print it and fill in the blanks, or you can save it to your computer and customize it.

Get your free printable World's Best Dad Certificate (http://www.jansreadingroom.com/Fathers_Day/DadCertificate.doc, this will open in a new window for your convenience).

If you want to just print it and fill in the blanks, then simply open the certificate and click on the printer icon. It will print as one page, on a piece of 8-1/2 x 11 computer paper. You can print it on any kind of paper, even colored paper. All the text is in black font color, so it will print on any color.

If you want to save it to your computer and customize it, then open the certificate. Go to File at the top of the screen and select Save As. Save the document as you would save any other Word document. Be sure to remember where you've saved the document so that you can re-open it in Word.

Open Word. Now open the certificate (from wherever you saved it to). Once the certificate is open in Word, you can change it any way you want to before you print it.

Highlight the text that you want to change. Click in front of the first word, then drag your mouse to highlight all the text you want to change.

On the toolbar, click on Format, then click on Font. Select the font you want, the size, the color, if you want bold or italic, etc. You can play with this and change it as often as you like---until you get a certificate that is just right for you!

You can add images, pictures, change the wording, do anything you like---whatever your talents are and how well you know how to use your computer!

Print your certificate and make a whole presentation ceremony for Dad on Father's Day! Make a paper crown, or fashion a robe out of a piece of velvet. Write a speech and deliver it like a royal proclamation---make as fun, funny, or serious as you like!

Make Father's Day a day that he never forgets!
